Default Oem Stereo Question

So i was wondering if i can hook up a small sub (8") into our stock (oem) stereo. If not, what way should i go? Amp? i know this might be in the wrong forum but not many people know about our stock system. Thought you guys could help. Thanks in advance.

This belongs in the Audio/Security/Video forum. However, to answer your question, you can't power even an 8" sub-woofer with your stock head unit. You have a number of options, but they all involve some sort of amplifier.

Get something like an amped Bazooka tube. It will accept line-level inputs and they actually sound pretty good IMO.

They are made for what you want to do.
