Default BOOSTED D15B VTEC

Ive been thinking about boosting my d15b sohc vtec motor for awhile now. The only thing that worries me is the rods... I heard they are like "tooth picks" Is this true? Ive heard of single cam motors boosting 9psi on stock internals and having no problems. I dont wanna be tearin' my motor out every couple months and replacing the rods! What should I do?

d15b vtec rods = d16z6 rods

that motor will take up to 230whp with a good tune on stock internals. you should be fine anything less than that.

happy boosting

right on... now what exactly are the differences in the d15b and the z6? besides one being a 1.5l and one a 1.6l.
