Little Fender Bender
Walked out to my car during lunch. Found this. Work accidentally punctured my bumper cover by backing into my car with a tow hitch in the back. They apologized and said "send us the bill, we will fix it"
So, the cover will have to be replaced:
New OEM JDM bumper cover JHP $700 shipped
Labor/Paint ~$1300
They are in for a surprise. Front end will have to be resprayed because the bumper cover is new. And its not just a typical USDM bumper cover. =X

WTH! sounds like they will have to repaint complete car, because they can't match a simple yellow ! LMAO!
people ,get real ,it's a freaking bumper, and in this day and age perfect colormatch is very possible, you just need to find a right shop to do the repairs

I had my front bumper cover & lip spoiler resprayed back in '02 at the shop the local Acura dealer uses. They were able to match the paint just fine, although they were careless in other ways, heh. I don't know what "people" you're addressing, but I was essentially saying the same thing you are, in a joking manner.

Just thinking the same thing. Damn, sorry to hear man.
At least someone else will be footing the bill on this.

well, seeing the type of cars you deal with on the norm, your company has money to make things right. Not just that, they are car guys; they understand what damage and paint does to a car's worth. They'll understand.
also, next time you come out east coast for a delivery. toss the bumper in the trailer, i'll buy it. race car could use an extra bumpa...

when i was parked in the Lotus factory car park and thrashing one of their Elise's round their track a large dumpster type bin blew into the side of my car and put a nasty dent in my front wing and took a couple of chunks out of my alloy
Lotus paid for a new wing and refurbbed the alloy and had it all painted. took my car away on a trailer and gave me a rental then dropped it back off again
its awesome when you get treated well

ummmm nooooooooo... you def have to get it blended in to the fenders, hood and lip. I dont care about this day and age and all this other jive lingo you want to throw at me but when the paint shop starts to spray that fresh yellow on there, it wont match exactly to the surrounding parts. Its not just a bumper.

I see that your going to get the OEM plastic bumper instead of the fiberglass one... good call.
