Default Hit and run...at the dealership

So I stopped by the dealer today to check on some prices and while I was in there someone hit the back of my car.. I was only in the building for 5 minutes and no one saw anything. They are doing a complete remodel so there are no security cameras, but there is allot of heavy equipment going threw the parking lot. I'm waiting to hear back from the manager, hopefully they will take responsibility since it was most likely one of their forklifts or something that backed into my car. What do you all think? should they pay, or is it my responsibility?

Manager just called and said he needs to talk to the GM tomorrow and find out about their policy and then he would get back to me.. But he was saying since I didnt see it happen that they probably wouldnt do anything for me.

I'm sure they are insured for damage that happens on their property...because they are liable for that.

not only was it not a forklift, i work with heavy equipment allday long, if any heavy equipment hit ur car it would be in much worse shape. but GL with getting it fixed.. my friend took hes focus to the dealership cuz the brakes we're working and when they moved it the guy rear-ended another car and f'ed hes front bumper, headlight, foglamps, and so on up.. it was pretty hilarious
