Default whats the best turbo to run on a stock b16 while still retaining a decent powerband

ok ive done some research on honda-tech and couldnt find a thread close enough to what i wanted to ask so here it goes
whats the best turbo to run on a bone stock b16 im just doiing arp headbolts and getting it tuned on chrome, leaving the rest... but i want to get a few things out of it i want to run 10psi
also i want to keep the powerband decent i'd prefer if the thing was fully spooled by 4500-5500 rpms also my friend had a 60-1 on his car he was always very secretive and would never pop the hood and let anybody see but god i love the way that thing whistled when it came into boost would a 60-1 work for me?

you could make 300whp with a 60trim t3/to4e. I get 10psi at 4500 on my stock b16 and it holds 200ft/lbs to 8300rpm. Its noticably faster above 3000 too so its pretty fun to drive (just needs another 100hp )

i had a turbonetics to4b wicked up fast, made 330 with a slipping clutch and was a drag kit. if you want a silly powerband, put a t3t67ho on a b16 like i did he hee.

look at the onlet for the turbo, it will have holes or another "inlet" inside the other. kinda like putting your hand in front of a fan, you feel more air on the outter edges than in the center. thats the way it was explained to me.

those are ported shrouds.

still not quite getting it .. so your saying it recirculates air inside the turbo doesnt that defeat the purpose and make yu lose psi

when you put your hand in front of a fan, there is more air on the outside?
well when it is drawing in, it gives it a place for more air to be drawn in plus aids in compressor surge also.

ohhhhh i see like just letting the air pass around the outside gotcha.... also acts as a baffle to prevent backsurge gotcha and thats done to a turbo or that is a modification

thats not the outlet thats the inlet where it sucks the air in from... and that gives it a nice whine/whistle

Full Race FTW!

hands down its THE BEST kits for honda that are currently made.

im not on a band wagon, but maybe more on a bandwagon for quality!

i have the full race stage 3gt kit. with upgraded 20x11x3 intercooler.

quality is GREAT! but it Will cost you, same kit they sell on FR.com sells for 4,500.00 but worth every penny, and not all are looking for the stage 3 gt kit, but their kits will run you around 3 plus grand, but like i said well worth every penny

isnt a ported shroud on a turbo mainly used to help reduce compressor surge?? Also called 'anti surge housings'??
