Default JDM RHD EF6 chassis, EFB2 hasport hydro mount kit, major linkage trouble

Hi all,

I'm in the UK and have a JDM import 1.5 which I've put a B20VTEC into with a Hydro tranny using the Hasport EFB2 mount kit, 80 rating.

I'm using a genuine EF9 SiR shift linkage but 1st, 3rd, 5th gears are all a pain in the *** to get and it keeps popping out of them under braking. The linkage isn't snagging on anything as first thought. No heat shields and exhaust well out of the way. All I am left with is that the linkage is too short, yet it bolted up just fine.

Does anyone know exactly how much I would need to add to the D series linkage to make it work ?

Is the hasport own brand linkage exactly the same length as a genuine SiR linkage?

I've searched here and found posts about it being a 90-93 teg linkage with 2-3/8" chopped out of it. We never got that teg over here

Help and advice appreciated please before I have to rebuild my gearbox again It was done just before going in the car. One gear and I'd say it was a box problem, but not all in a row.

Added some posts I've found of folks with similar problems, sadly no conclusive fixes in them:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1212433 Sounds exactly the same, have IM'd him.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1680557 Similar at first, but I get 2nd, 4th, R just fine.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1727365 That sounds pretty familiar too, but I swear it's not in backwards.

My CRX currently has a stripped interior. Only the main dash present, so no shifter console in the way.

Any other suggestions please ?

Bump for some ideas please.

A fairly knowledgable CRX pal suggested that it might be because the mounts are flexing too much.

VT/SiR crx's have a front mount on the gearbox, he's seen plenty with worn mounts that jump out of 1,3,5 gears.

No scope for fitting one in this crx, but surely hasport mounts don't suffer from this problem ?
