if your doing it for those reasons dont do it...haha.

the lightened flywheel lightens the load on the crank. making for faster revs. but keep in mind that they also drop faster too. its also the same for a lightened pulley.

eh, I have a lightened flywheel (8.5lbs) and lightened OEM crank pulley and it still doesn't drop that much from 8k rpms.

not really. not like "woah ****!!!" or anything. First time I put the lightened flywheel in and ripped it, I didn't even notice it dropping much more until I thought about it. I'm still in VTAK range anyway so...

to each their own, but I had a 8.5lb flywheel, didnt' like it.

I ended up going with a slightly lightened stock flywheel. I don't like anything under 12lbs, the rev's seem to drop too fast when your daily driving.

I mean, if you like to bang gears all the time then no problem, but if you get lazy, or hesitate just once, your car will jerk sometimes depending on how much the rpms drop. Sometimes its just more work than I want to throw at shifting when I'm just cruising around.

Yeah thats true, daily driving its a different story. If I rev to 2k it falls fast. I've kinda adapted to it though.
