Default HELP! ITR BODYSHOP GODS! R hurt HURT HURT..

Great start to a new year!

I am at the shopping mall, come out.... and bam. What a surprise! someone played destruction derby with the front of my car...

Did I sleep with the wrong persons wife, or is it because the car is yellow?? was the person still drunk or high from the new years party.. mmm, DUNNNO!

But I do know is..

duh deee duh duh;

Seems like everything shifted towards the PASSENGER side a few inches.. the bumper is totally fucked, the lip is salvagable. The hood is Fine, the fenders are fine.. but the gap between the driverside door and fender is alot bigger then the passenger side, which is tight???? how will this be fixed.

I have to run out to ACURA tommorow and get a driverside hoodhook.. it totally bent when the car was hit primarily at the passenger side and made everything shift, especially the hood.. it was overlapping my psasenger fender!

Awesome eh? wonder how acura charges for that.

So anyway, i took off my hood today, and my mangled front bumper! and managed to remove that hook which seemed impossible to get to since its so bent.. this is what i noticed;

^^^^

That little section is a bit crooked from the impact.. the rad support is fine though. can this be easily fixed by the shop??

Tommorow, im off to Acura to get a hoodhook, aswell as sourcing out a used front integra bumper.

So here are my questions,

1) should I paint the hood and fenders aswell, when i get the used bumper painted PY? how much should additional cost be??
2) Will that bent little piece there be easy to fix?? it doesnt seem like much looking at it.. but im no pro..
3) how much $$ am i lookn at??
4) why is there a large gap between my driver side door, and fender.. and little gap on the other side?? can this be corrected easily.. How?

So once again.. TOMMOROW< i plan to get the HOODHOOK, buy a used bumper,

Put the hood back on, drive the car to a bodyshop.. and basically just tell em to repaint the whole front and install it properly..

Thanks guys for reading!!

That sucks man... If it were ME, I'd take it to a professional, pay the dollars, and know it's done right. If you supply your own parts, that DRASTICALLY helps the price.

Example:

I wrecked my Civic. Took out two trees with my passenger door (Young and stupid). The original quote was $1,950. I supplied the door and the side skirt, dropped down to $1,236. Yeah... Quite a drastic drop.

Just take your time, spend some money, and she'll be back to normal. Did you file a police report?

Sounds like the front end shifted, you need to get it on a jig / chassis machine. Was the car moved in the parking spot from the impact?

I bet you thats still 1.5-2 grand worth of damages. If you claim it through insurance you could be looking at a brand new JDM front end All you may have to shell out is the deductible

DAMN, your baby took a whack alright

if i found my car like that i would have been wanting to KILL

i don't suppose the car park had CCTV?

if any particularly coloured paint had been left behind i'd probably go to the extreme of phoning all the bodyshops in that area and find out if any cars of that colour have had quotes for repairs. as whatever hit you needs fixing too.

sorry to see this dude

^ A buddy of mine got his the same way, a SUV backed into his car, he had 4k worth of damages and the SUV had a few very very light scratches. The person who hit you depending on a car or truck has very minimal damages.

Same thing happened to my Civic... CCTV FTW. Got the lady's plate, got her information, she just cut me a check to keep her husband out of it. I ended up spending the money on suspension, haha.

i cant believe this happened. Some people need to learn how to claim responsibility for their actions and leave a note with their info on it.

integra's top tie bar on rad support is attache to weak aprons, when the impact occured the whole upper portion of the support moved over, with the hood latches causing the hinges to bend, sometimes the striker on the hood will also bend, all this can be re-aligned by reputable shop that is equipped with frame machine,as far as paint goes, I would recommend painting parts that were damaged, yellow is fairly easy color to match,if you're not far from Jax Fl, I'm sure I can fix it for you, been doing it for over 16 years and have done atleast a few cars that were featured in magazines and won many shows, know civics and integras inside out and have owned GSR that I built from scratch, it has been in few magazines

Sorry to hear about your car. That being said, I agree it is around 2k of damage. As for you deductable, how high is it? As for the insurance, this is a not-at-fault hit and run. I assume you havea police report, correct? In this scenario, your premiums can not be affected since this was not at fault. Also, in many states by law, and many companies just by thier own policies, will not increase your insurance premium for damages under $2500. My personal opinion is to go through your insurance.

Goddammit; this really sucks. I hope she turns out ok and the damages don't set you too far back on $$. She looked pretty clean beforehand.
Hit-n-run drivers FTMFL Even here in Buffalo, I hate parking my Integra at the mall. Every kid with a new license has to show off their car at the mall :rolls eyes:

Keep JDM fronts on JDM Rs
