Goobye SI, Hello B16A DX!!!!!
Tow things happened to me yesterday. I sold my SI shell AND got the B16A running in the DX. And after getting the DX running, I have to wonder WHY anyone in their right mind would EVER want an SI. ESPECIALLY a 1990-1991 SI. Light weight RULES!!! The B16A, which (compared with the B20) never felt like it had alot of low end torque now feels downright torquey. And even though I have not yet put on the AEM CAI (which actually makes a HUGE difference), the car feels stronger on the top end than the SI did. With more weight reduction from the addition of some HF parts, the car should be even better. Overall, I am glad to finally be rid of the SI.
how did you wire the distributor? I got a DX an I'm puttin in a B16 right away and I got a ZC in there right now. Did you just match up the colours of the engine harness to the same colours on the distributor? what problems did you run into. What should I expect. I did the ZC swap so I got a good idea of what's involved. anything to look out for? How long did it take you. Sorry for the barage of Q's. thanx
