NGK part# BKR7EGP for OEM JDM ITR

JDM engines are higher compression than U.S. Version so therefore they come stock with # 7 heat range.

They are not the same.
The JDM motors use a colder plug (PFR7G-11 I think), and the USDM is PFR6G.

For OEM JDM ITR, Honda used NGK Plantium.

PFR7G-11 is the platinum.
P=Premium Platinum (Laser Platinum)

BKR7EGP is the G-Power Platinum, one step down.

Pretty much, but probably in English instead of Japanese.

In the US the s2k plugs are what they use in japan on all standard b series motors right?

I have been running PFR6G-11 plugs on my JDM Type R for 30k miles. How crucial is it that I get PFR7G-11 plugs? Also, where do you recommend getting them from?

Remember guys, NGK heat range numbers are backwards... higher the number the colder the plug.

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...1=&inputstate=

It says the NSX's use the PFR7G-11 plug. How can I be sure that a JDM Type R is supposed to use that as well?

Alternatively, from a Honda dealer you can get the S2000 plug: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...=IGNITION+COIL

They are PFR7G-11S plugs though. Is there any difference in the PFR7G-11 and the PFR7G-11S and which one is meant for the JDM Type R?

I just got finished doing a swap to a JDM B18C Type R in my DC2. I used NGK Iridiums because a friend recommended them, not sure how different they are from the platinums. If anyone is curious, I can post my experience with them once I put some miles on them

Iridiums are supposed to last longer.

Indeed what I've heard. I figured if from what they say that they're made for today's performance engines, my B18C should have no problem with them.

So can I use PFR7G-11S plugs in my JDM Type R, or only PFR7G-11?

When googling it, the only difference I found has to do with the addition of a stainless steel washer. I am not sure if this makes it only fit in S2000 motors or not. Please let me know, I want to make a purchase soon.

You can use either. I used the pfr7g-11s plugs for a turn when I couldn't get the usual pfr7g-11's.
