Default Engine swap question

What engine is available to swap into my 2000 ex coupe, that is OBD2 and will pass smog in California? (besides a usdm B16 out of a 2000 SI)
I want it to be street legal as this is my daily driver.
I was looking for a GSR motor, but was told that they have a immobilizer that would not make the motor work in my car.

Thanks, yes I have searched and I have read that thread before.
What are most of you guys in California swapping into your EK hatchs and coupes?
Do you pass smog? is your motor BAR legal?
Sorry I feel like a newb, I moved to Cali recently and want to know what I can swap in my car and still be legal without changing alot of stuff come smog time.
I haven't had any trouble with cops YET and I don't want to run into any problems if I do. I am trying to do as much research as I can before I swap my motor.
Also, Are there any reputable shops around the Bay Area or Sacramento area that do swaps? I would like to ask them and check out there shops.
Thanks.
