question about tranny fluid?
i have a 00 SI and it has over 56K miles and the tranny sometimes grinds in fifth gear. and someone told me that changing the fluid sometimes help, my questions is the manual says to use honda MTF but i saw at the store a fluid from Royal purple called syncromesh or something like that. should i just raplaced it with Honda MTF or use something else? thanks

Yeah, emphasis on the quotes. It doesn't actually "fix" anything - it just masks the problem temporarily (depending on the cause).
You should get into the habit of changing your transmission oil regularly, just like engine oil. I recommend anyone using Honda MTF to change it at every 3rd engine oil change.
