2000 Civic Si wont Start!! Needing help please
Hey guys, My 2000 civic si simply wont kick over. I was driving home from work a few nights ago and it died at a light.. We managed to get it push started a few times, but when we managed to, it went a little ways and sputtered and died out.. Before it originally died, I didnt hear a bang or clanking of any sort.. Me and a buddy of mine pulled the fuel rail to make sure the injectors were firing, and they were.. We also made sure the car has spark which it does.. The headlights all work, so im almost positive it isnt my battery.. Although my power windows seem to be going a little slower than normal.. the plugs and plug wires are new.. When
we had the injectors off, we noticed quite a bit of black carbon build up and a little moist..
Any help would be Greatly appreciated..

My guess is a fuel flow problem, since its bogging, its probablly getting little gas. And if it was misfiring/backfiring, it would be spark. Clean the injectors, and the plugs. Also make sure you have enough gas (it happens) and make sure the fuel pump is working.
Also is there and cel's? could be o2 censor.

The Dizzy is fine, we know that for sure!! It is getting fuel, as the inectors are firing fuel... So it can be a pump.. We got it push started, so thats what leads me to believe its an alternator problem.. Any other ideas?
No CEL, we scanned it, and it came back all clean and good

If the alternator is bad, we would be able to push start it, but the alternator would not charge the battery while moving, therefore dying...

Ok.. Cause when we did get it push started it ran like crap.. Stalling out.. Everytime it was given gas it just stalled out.. And wouldnt idle, just dies
How did you check for spark?
Are you sure the distributor rotor is securely screwed onto its shaft? Did you remove the cap to look?
