I recently took my eg6 to have an h22 swap put in because the cam sprocket key broke and messed the end of the camshaft up on my d15. I brought the car into a shop about 3 weeks ago and they had it for one week. When I came to pick it up they said that the oil pump was leaking so they kept it for another day to fix it. I went to pick it up and they said the speedometer wasnt working and the vtec wasnt working either. I end up taking it back 2 more times. They said they changed out the speed sensor and engine harness and that they cant find the problem. They said it has to do with something under the dash and that I need to take it to have the electrical checked out by another mechanic and have it fixed at my expense. Should I have to pay another mechanic to fix this problem or should they have to fix it? Prior to bringing in my car for the swap There were no electrical problems with my car.

 

sorry that happened to you...next time do al the work yourself..thas thebest advice i can give you. infact start now by chasing the problem down yourself..expletive those mechanics

 

sounds like they jacked up your wiring...and no if you paid them to do something they need to fix the problems however they dont sound to skilled at what they do
