Default TIMEING BELT HELP!!!!... in process right now!!!!

ok! i have all the cover off and i have car jacked up. i have a impact trying to take the 17mm nut off the crank pully and it is not wanting to un tighten. the engine keep spinning. i put it in gear.... is it right handed or left handed thread? i just cant seem to break the bolt hold..... help!!!!!!!

are you holding the flywheel? the bolt tread should be standard btw.

you need a crank pulley tool. to keep the pulley from moving.

no but you can use a chain wrench too. the crank pulley is a specifically designed tool to hold the pulley in place while you unbolt it.

it is like a socket with a extra piece so you can a attach a wrench to it while still having access to the bolt the hold the pulley.
