Throw-Out Bearing.
I know how to change the damn thing but is there a different bearing that will withstand the beating. My trans right now has an Exedy unit and went bad a couple of weeks ago. Is it true that the bearing can *** the trans up if you dont change it promptly? Thanks in advance.

buddy of mine used the exedy clutch kit with 7.5 lb flywheel and stage 1 clutch, the crappy throw out bearing in their package broke after 3k miles of use. One of the ears on the bearing that the spring clip goes into broke off.
I would only use oem bearings

Good question
Good question
When a throw out bearing starts to go bad it will make an anoying sound. Usually it will only make the sound when it is cold out. Like you said the noise goes away when you push the clutch pedal in. I have worked on many differnet cars and trucks that the owner tells me that there is a grinding noise coming from the transmission it is most likely the trow out bearing.
