Are you sponsored?
thanks f1spec
ask a company if they sponsor cars, if they do they will request a proposal with pictures of your car normally, and then just wait for a response.
to my understanding a company will not just throw out free parts and most mortals get partial sponsorships (discounts)
those who get free parts usually have an agreement to be featured in "x" magazine(s) or place high in "x" car shows. and that contract lasts for a year.
EDIT: and please do not go to carsponsorships.com and put those absurd stickers on ur car... thanks in advanced

Yea I've seen the video. His car is actually frowned upon by Turbo-Buick purists/***** such as myself.
But hey, it's his car and it's a beast that's for sure. Just wish he hadn't done it to a T-Type. Do a regular Regal if that's what you're going after (SBC swap).

better get out ur vaseline if you are trying for a sponsor...
I don't know about car sponsors, but I shoot for a group of guys who snowboard for Cals Pharmacy, a well known and respected skate/snow/surf shop in the Northwest... Basically, to get sponsored in their relm, they kick *** at what they do, are chill people and not dicks (unless someone deserves it
) and they constantly push the envelope of what is expected from them as a representative of the company, what is cool and popular amoung the people the appeal to as "pros", and what has been done before. (where, how hardcore, and how seriously.)
I imagine the same general principles probably apply to a car sponsorship...
Or maybe it's just who you know (or blow)...

i suggest you google this. One day you will graduate to the real world where your career will force you to write proposals on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Just my .02 take it as you may. I have been interested in cars since i could drive (15~16) and back then i really wanted sponsorships for my car. B/c i thought it was the **** and what is better than working on your car with otherpeoples parts and money. Sounds great in theory but there are a couple drawbacks:
1. Sponsorships are given to people that will be contractually obligated to show/race/drift/drive the car for x number of events or shows etc... If you receive a sponsorship it will not be so that your car can look pretty in your driveway, you will earn the money one way or another...
2. You are young and think that cars are the only thing worth living life for, eventually you will realize that they absolutly are not. Dont get me wrong i love hondas, motorsports, etc... but they are a hobby, nothing more... (at least to me)
3. To conclude, there will come a time when you will realize that you love the car not because of how cool it looks, how fast it is, etc; but rather you will enjoy the car because you have rightfully earned the money to facilitate it.
Albight a little harsh, the moral of the story is to do it for you. There is no substitute for saving and hard work

plus if you get sponsored you have to put all their GAY *** decals everywhere, cluttering up your car and making you look like nothing more than another fanboi...
