i got to drive one yesterday. not only is it nice looking but its DAMN fast. out of all honesty i think a supercharged k20 in my car would handle that thing. the handeling was good on the mercedes.

 

ya my mom has a clk 500 and at 315 hp it hauls ***

it ate a turbo B18 at the track last summer

Did the guy in the turbo b18 keep it in 2nd?

Turbo b18a's ( in DA integras) low 13's to high 12's. Turbo GSR's are similar ( if gutted). I dunno why, but i dont see a CLK 500 running anything better than mid 13's.

He ran 13.9 in his CLK 500, now i do not know if this is the 3.5L version, or the 5L version, but i highly doubt a 3.5L could run those tims.

13.9 isnt really that fast, im sure a good em2 driver with a 75 shot and slicks could pull that off ( i think its already been done). Last time i checked people were running 14.1's on a 75 shot and drag radials.


* another website says they got 14.0 on there 2003 5.0LV8 CLK500 with MT.

 

the one that i drove was supercharged. the pulley doesnt make much noise tho

 

torgue has a big issue here by the time he started to pull i was already car links ahead of him

 

i dunno man, i still think thats a huge difference. a 14.0 second car vs a 13.0 second ... he musta sucked at driving, or had traction issues like crazy

or it had shitty tune. or boost leak. misted a gear shifting? many things coulda been wrong with that guys turbo car. your moms automatic will run the same time almost everytime if u have fast reaction times everytime.
