Default I feel like selling my R.

Man cops really hate these cars. I was driving tonight going the speed of traffic in an construction zone and get pulled over. He gives me the usual do you know why I pulled you over? and i didnt know. He continues to blab about how he could write me up for my modified exhaust system and modified suspension and get the vehicle code book and go through my car. (the only mods i have are corbeau seats and a bc pro spec cat back.) so I tell him how i only have those two legal mods and the car is stock. Then he goes on yelling at me (as if i was being cocky and talking back) about how my car is a moving violation and he could write me up for soo many things. ( and i almost asked him to go ahead and try)

So I tell him how my dad is a cop and he corrects me with police officer ( I was going to explain how my dad said the exhaust doesnt warrent a ticket) then cuts me off and asks if my car rolled off the factory line like it is and i say yes except for seats and bc catback. he repeats his question till i give him the answer he is looking for (5 times?) then thretens to give me a ticket for going 40 in a const. zone (its 25 when they are working, and they arnt its like 9 at night) and how I was going twice the speed limit (2x25=50 doesnt it?) and then continues to be a dick head yelling at me about somthing that didnt even make sense and finally lets me go. I might go down and file a complaint aginst him especially because my dad said it would be a lot of paper work and a bitch for him. After all police officers just doing their job and still must act professional, who would keep any job treating people like that?

The ironic thing is i was just telling my friend how gay sheriffs around here because of how similar they were the last time I encountered one.

Then later tonight I get pulled over AGAIN on the free way and get a ticket for going "85" when I didnt break 80. No radar he apparently paced me but I didnt see him till he flew up on me and turned on his lights. and I was very observent of the cars behiend me.

Now my dad is a cop and most cops around here are super cool but really what the f*ck. Its just a import.

Thanks for listening to my rant, im rather mad.

Hey man, sorry to hear that you had a long night. If I were you I might think of the same thing to sell the car, but to be truthful you got lucky for only getting one ticket. I know how it feels to have a bad day, I got a ticket for 4inches of a STOP sign, YES 4inches and it was 1 out 4 tickets in 4 months that I got tickets! Once again I’m sorry and I hope tomorrow is a better day

This is ironic. Califonia cops are ******* dicks. When i have a my 97 k20 swap i got pulled over for speeding 85 in a 60 go figure im on the I5 in so cal so 85 is normal. Well since there was a mustang cashing me which i really didnt know he was i got a ref ticket and a speeding/race ticket. I got it dismissed because im in iraq now but they have personal vendetas against people with imports. I dont alot about so cal cops but where im from in nor cal they are **** enough to give you a illgal exhaust ticket and ask you to pop your hood to find out every single thing you modded. Dont sell you ITR you will regret when you sold it.

What pat of california did you get pulled over

On the other note, it was good that you didn't actually say, go ahead and try. If you did, it would be pretty cool

i'd have made a note about getting his badge number and asking which station he worked out of and run the bastard into the ground. i HATE it when i hear of police being like that

the only police run-ins i've had they've been really cool and treated me very fairly. but thats bad luck

That stinks, but to make you feel better, pacing is complete garbage. I got a ticket ofr 80 in a 65 for a "pace" and the judge told me that it is more accurate than a radar. I think not. I know a few state troopers and I asked them how accurate a pace is. Essentially, all the officer has to do is slam on the gas, hit a speed to catch you then say you were doing it. I was passing at about 74 MPH and the officer flew up nearly hit my tail and said he paced me at 80. i don't think so, it is just how fast they need to go to catch you.

And for the record, cops usually pull people over in cars like that because they know they can get away with acting abusive

I know his name and where his station is so Im prob going to file a complaint.

And as for cops in general i effing hate california highway patrol, they dont give a f*ck who you are or how fast you were actually going your geting a ticket.

Most city cops around here are super cool minus the sheriffs.

I feel for ya' man... I don't get harrassed by the police in Wilmington. The cops know what's up with our crew, they know we're not starting any trouble. They're actually pretty smart about which cars to go after.

What I'm VERY tired of, is all the attention from ricers, and dumb asses. The fly bys, the revs, and closely following *** riders. I'm about to take my wing off, debadge it, and paint it a different color... I am THAT sick of it.

Some just tell me to sell the car then. But no, this is my car, and it's mine forever, unless it gets wrecked, or stolen.

I was almost thinking something like this:

As is:

*I typically have a higher resolution to work with, but this was the only picture I had on this computer, so bear with me on the quality*

CoppeR:

CoppeR Carbon Fiber Hood:

CoppeR Wingless:

Just some ideas I've been tossing around my head... Doubt I'll go through with it, I'll probably save the butchering for a salvage shell or something. But damn, the attention these cars brings gets old, haha. I still love the car to death though.

Yeah for some reason a lot of people seem to have the similar problems with the yellow Type-Rs Cops can be ******** but 90% of the time they'll leave you alone unless you give them a reason not to. Good luck.

I got harassed a couple years back in Georgia. My wife had a 00 si that we had just left a cafe in. I was driving down a city street getting ready to make a left hand turn at a light, and got pulled over by the highway patrol. A cadet came to window and asked to see my license and registration. I pulled my seat belt off to get the reg out of the glove box. I handed it to him, and asked what seemed to be the problem. He left went back to the car then came back, and told me I was driving in the left hand lane. I told him that wasn't against any law I was aware of (being on a city street), and how is one supposed to make a left hand turn without getting in the left lane. He then told me that I wasn't wearing my seat belt. I responded that I had to pull it off to get my wallet out of pocket and the reg out of the glove box. He went back to the car and a trooper got out, and said "sir can you put on your lights, brake lights, right turn signal, left signal, backup lights" you get the point. The car was only six months old at the time. I got hot. I told him that this is f'#!ing harassment. There is nothing wrong with the car, the only reason you pulled me over, is you saw me coming out of the cafe and thought you might get the cadet his first DUI. He said "oh I can find something wrong with it" . I then replied "what are you going to do bust out a light with a night stick?" He then asked me to step out of the vehicle. He was only about 5'6" @ 160 lbs wet. The cadet wasn't much bigger. I stand 75" @ 220lbs. Once I got out both of them un-holstered there pistols. I was pissed. After I calmed down they gave me a warning, and I got the badge numbers. I reported it, but I am sure it didn't do much good. I feel your pain man. The best thing you can do is try to keep your cool. I came damn close to getting shot that night, but I didn't get cocky until the light check. Even here in Germany you can get harassed bye the law sometimes. Some of them don't care for imports.

I love the attention Ive been used to the rice boy fly bys for years now. I either rev at them at the light and then take off like grandma, or just ignore them. Cops want a reason to pull me over, but they have none hehe. I saw some young kids video taping me as I was driving, they were in awe like I was in a ferrari or something lol

I feel for you. I got a ticket on New Years day and i was driving back to College at U of Kentucky from IL. I was on a interstate 65 in Indiana just going the speed limit which was 70 and it changed to 55 as you near the city of Louisville, but i guess it was that time of the month because he was pulling over everyone. I think it was a pullover to make quota. it took all of 5 mins for the officer to get my license then to issue me a ticket. I think the ticket was bullshit because as you stated he paced me because i saw him down the road and i reduced my speed. He mashed the gas to catch me and he wrote down the speed he was doing in order to catch me. This officer made it seem like he was doing me a favor by record my speed at 70($138 ticket) instead of the 71($148 ticket) he orignally said which is what he did to catch me. This ticket Also seem fairly high!

I have the intention of paying this ticket (from IN), but was would happen if i don't pay a ticket that is out of my home state(IL) and not in the state where i currently live(KY). They don't have my License either.

sorry for semi-jacking your post, but i also feel my car's appearance might have added to the officer giving me a ticket.

^ Not all police officers... But my saying is:

"For every good cop there is, there are 2 bad cops, 3 douche bag cops, and 4 ignorant cops..."

So although they are scarce... There are good police officers. Luckily, the few experiences I've had with police officers, I've been fortunate enough to have dealt with good cops.

Cops have the badge and the gun, so it sort of sucks to have to put up with alot of their egotistical b.s. I've gone to school with some of the most pu$$y a$$ people in high school, and they turn out to be cops. When you see these guys as cops, who used to be push overs, they act like their d#ck is 5 feet long. They think that they are the f##king law and they think that what they say is what goes, but they forget one important thing, which is that they have to follow the laws and enforce them. That's it! That's their f##kin' job. That's all they need to do. We don't need to hear their egotistic bullsh#t. By the way, it almost seems as if most cops are afraid of their jobs, which is probably why they end up killing more people than is necessary. They need to just calm down a little and think about what it is that they are doing.

I will admit though, there are some cool cops out there who aren't a$$holes, and they would be willing to give you a break. Alot of cops do have a good personality, but there are those annoying a$$ cops like the ones described in the first post.
