Default is this true?

You can have a knock sensor not attached but grounded to the chassis and connected to your ECU. is it true? and what does he mean grounded to the chassis the knock sensor wire? heres the link its on the 25th paragraph. http://www.hondatuningmagazine...ngine/

No. Run the damn wire. Don't cut corners. A good swap is better then a quick one.

the sensor is bad im low on cash and i dont want buy a new sensor for $100+ or chip my ecu. so will that mod work?

Hooking up a bad sensor like that will still cause problems because the sensor is still bad.
If you wired a good sensor up like that your ECU would be happy to "see" a sensor but it wouldn't retard timing because your engine was knocking.

That sensor is pocket sized. Pick one up at a junk yard or buy one for $40-50 in the classifieds.
