I would not put rear speakers in your car if it does not have them. You could use that money to build a nice front stage set up. Plus the car is small enough to get away with easier

there are pre speaker wires on the back inside each quarter panel... look for it... wire up your speakers and mount them in the back... make sure they fit.

Your 92 Civic uses standard 6.5" speakers in the doors, they will fit the stock plastic speaker housing, and if they are 2" or less, [mounting depth] they will fit without mods, up to a 2-3/4" deep speaker can be installed by cutting the back out of the stock plastic housings, [to allow for aftermarket speakers magnet].

It sounds to me like you have removed the stock speaker housings and mounted the speaker directly to the door skin. 94

your speakers should come with spacers... and use your stock spacer when mounting the speakers.

There are two things you can do, the easy thing is to hit up your local bone yard and find a set of stock plastic speaker housings and use a standard 6.5" speaker, you may even find a member here who has a set, [do you have a link to the HU and speakers you got?] the other thing you can do is make your own custom speaker housings. 94
