Default honda-tech Guru ( electrical )

my car got stolen couple of weeks ago and got it back(THANK YOU GOD THAANK YOU ARIZONA PD)
well there is a electrical short ,when i turn my lights on my fuse #8 blows up all the time, and only my night talilights,licensplate,side corners, instrument dash,lights go off.

i checked for cut cables found 2 ,but the problems persist.
before i tak it to a electrichian and get ripped off, i wanna consolt with you(honda-tech)

if the fuse is blowing, it means that too much amperage is being drawn through the circuit. which i would assume is a short to ground, or there is no load on the circuit

check for any crossed, or shorted wires first off.

oh and fuse 8 is for the headlights? or is that fuse for something else all together??

if it is protection for another circuit then, you definately have a cross short

#8 controls all the things i mentioned above,
tailights,licensplatelights,side markers,instrument dash light,center conosole light,

i will check for a ground right now

did they steal your radio? if so the radio taps into that fues.... maby the wires are grounding to the frame

X2 if they cut your radio wires it most likely is the wire that light up the radio when the lights are on, it is grounding out or shorted check that first

i woul of never thought of checking there

i just spent 15 minutes with my car turn on and lights on
after checking stereo ground cable
and tape over it
it seems the problems is gone

I blew the same fuse by having the red wire from the radio(that was poorly put in before me) touch ground.
