96 Integra no turbocharged

96 integra LS
Garret T3 turbo (soon to be upgraded with a larger compressor housing and some new seals when i feel like tearing it apart)
31" intercooler
2" piping turbo to intercooler
2.5" intercooler to TB
RFL BOV
SSautoshit wastegate but it seems to be working fine
6 psi spring
2.5" driverside downpipe
cast log manifold
OBD2A-OBD1 conversion
crome basemep
DSM 450cc injectors with 10 ohm 10 watt inline resistors
Its boring at 6 psi but way better than stock thats for sure , cant wait to mess with my turbo up the boost and get a tune . Shooting for at least 240 whp .
And the whole thing cost me about $1000
yea for the price its actually really good , i mean the only shortcut i really took was the WG . But I got it for 30 bucks so i figured id give it a shot and its working great so far .
nice
i prefer the sleeper look myself... believe it or not there is a front mount in the front of my DB2

i run at 7psi, feels good... what are you running for engine management though? my cars run off of an AFC hack... not my choice method, but the car is being sold to a very good friend of mine as soon as he gets back from Iraq...
also as soon as you can afford, i would recommend getting a new wastegate... believe it ro not but a crappy gate spiking is what's going to kill your car... i went from a turbonetics deltagate (which i thought kind of sucks) to the turbonetics evo gate, and now i'm running with the Tial which so far has seemed to be working the best for me...
and boost really seemed to accentuate the VTEC kick on my B17A too

Im running crome but its only a basemap , the only reason im using that wastegate is because it was 30 bucks and i figured id give it a shot . And so far it opens up everytime right at 6 psi and hasnt spiked at all , will it last ? Probably not but its fine for now . I dont know how its going to do after i throw the 1 bar spring in though
yea im having no problems with it at all , ill post engine bay shots tomorrow . I might even pull my turbo off and chage the seals and put the bigger compressor housing on if the weathers nice .
not to jack any threads but is there really a big difference when running 2 different intercooler pipes. Like the 2 ich hot side and the 2.5 cold side or even a 2.25 cold side? The reason i ask is because its not like theres any more air coming in after the intercooler rite?
: y not a 3 ich dp?

Well smaller intercooler piping keeps the air flowing at a higher velocity so it will get to the intercooler faster and hopefully spool quicker , but i have no proof its all in theory . I didnt do a 3" downpipe because im still using my stock cat until i get an inspection , then i might do 3" all the way back .
the theroy to use small IC piping would be that air flows faster through tighter spaces which is why you will see when possible people usinv oval tubing instead of round (not for IC's but manifolds specifically. looks at exhaust headers, usually the "better" higher cost ones are oval and the cheaper ones are round...) but in high boost applications i would def. run with larger piping... i used 2.5 onmy teg though...
also, what kind of intercooler are you running? if it's an ebay IC you're probably experiencing alot of boost drop, so i hope the WG line is run from the manifold directly... a friend of mine just bought a cheap ebay IC and put it on his TT and was bragging how his TT was gonna have a front mount and mt TT only has the sides and whenhe put it on pressure drop was so bad the car couldn't boost to the 21psi it's tuned for...
but if you're getting the desired boost reguardless of pressure drop and got it cheap enough that's awesome for you
i'm just intregued is why i am asking what parts you used is all... i've only ever seen one ofther car with alot of ebay parts actually work and work well is all...

nope turbo is real garrett , manifold isnt brand name but its a cast log and its not cracking anytime soon , and the oil lines i put together at a local hardware store for about 40 bucks . I do however need a new oil pan , i tapped mine a bit too low . Its not giving me any problems but i still want to move it up anyways .
As for the intercooler i got it off a friend and dont know where he got it from , i traded him a set of racing seats and he gave me 100 bucks and the intercooler . He never had any issues with it and im running my WG vacuum line directly off the IM , so everything seems fine .

im dead serious we've never had a single issue and this isnt the first time with one of these turbo's either , my friend ran one on a sohc del sol for a year and never had an issue .
guess we are just some seriously lucky bastards

I think im going to pick one up , i was messing with my IC piping today and found some oil inside . Not much but there shouldnt be any in there , so im going to give the restrictor a shot . Where do i get one ?
http://www.stealthmodeperformance.com they can hook you up...Oil in the piping?? lol good thing you finally got on the ball (it was a matter of time before it would be completely gone and hello smokey turbo)...you can also try ebay for a basic restrictor
