Default obd2a obd2b dizzy wiring ???

ok ive searched and didnt really find much but alot of red X diagrams that helped others in the pass. this should be a pretty simple answer im just retarded and know **** about obd2 or wiring in genral.

ok i have a 99 dx hatch that im butting a b16 in.

im using a 99 ex auto harness

i have a 99-00 si dizzy ( i think)

ok. i know the obd2b harness for the sohc have smaller dizzy plugs then then si and the 96-98 sohc. i bought the 99 hatch as a unfinished project. in the box with the dizzy was a harness side dizzy clip .. i dont know if its from an si harness or a 96-98 sohc or if there is a diffrence to begin with..

ok the color wires on this plug all match the 99 ex colors besides on the clip theres a black with yellow strip and on the harness theres a black with grey strip,

on the b16 dizzy it has 9 wires instead of 8 ( i know the big blue is for the tach and that the car has the tach wiring somewhere else thats not on the dizzy correct?)

the dizzy clip on 99 ex harness

the dizzy clip on the actual dizzy

the harness side clip that came with the dizzy

my guestion is. how the f*ck do i wire this up? do i just match it color to color ? and for get about the tach wire and call it a day?

ok youve got some things wrong already ... never use a different engine harness then the one that came in your car!!!
ok so use that harness and run your 3 vtec wires ground, power to the solenoid and oil press.
next the 99-00 dizzy plug will have all 9 wires the 99-00 plug on the engine harness side is not gonna have the blue wire rather it gets its tach signal off the crank angle sensor
so your dizzy should plug right up the only difference ive ever seen in dizzy plugs was from obd1-obd2 same wires same positioning but 1 has 2 plugs and 2 is only one plug all obd2 dizzy plugs should be the same it should be a plug and play deal

the car didnt come with an harness. everything ive read said that a 99-00 ex harness was my cheapest and easiest way out being that it was already made up for vtec.

The guy has a 99 hatch. He can most certainly use the Si or Ex harness from a 99-00 Civic without shorting an ECU out. If he tried using a 96-98 harness, that info might be applicable.

cut the duzzy plug off of your 99 ex harness. get a 96-98 dizzy plug for another harness, all the colors match except a blue wire, dont use it. extend vtec wires a little bit on the ex harness, boom your done. just did my swap in my 99 ex on thanksgiving. its cake.
