Default Should I pick up this 97 gsr 4 dr shell (Good Deal or Not)

Got a buddy who wants to sell me this shell with 117,000 miles no engine and trans and needs new front bumper or at least repainted needs bumper reinforcement due to intercooler that previous owner had. No rust interior is perfect comes with suspension and bronze slips - has a very small dent in front back pax door. Also pulled a carfax on it and all shows as good with 3 owners and current inspection and registration . Need some outside opinions as I have been looking for a clean 4dr for awhile and want to see what others think.

1500$ is asking price

my opinion too much for a
b+ shell....no motor no tranny....1500?

If he was a good buddy he would give it under $1500. think about it you need a new motor (unless you have one.) and then a tranny..... then you gotta get it painted. and get that dent fixed.

but it is up to you. is this a project car? or something you need in say a couple of months?

it is up to you though.

tell your buddy to try and sell it, then if not come back to him with a lower price that he was telling you. I am assuming you did try and haggle with him a bit?

I do like that it is a 97 shell though...

Good luck! Happy new years....

EDIT: well I looked at it again, I dont think you need much on the body, thats a plus... no new paint thats good....just a motor and tranny....hmmmm.... tough choice.

That'a a really low price for a shell.
Realistically one can't even find a CRX shell for that price in the SoCal classifieds here.. Go for it

What kind of suspension is it on? Seems like a pretty good deal.

I think it gc/kyb setup but not positive - I have always like the 4 dr's and just want to see what others think so I dont rush into this. I just looking at it like with the rims and suspension thats like between lowside 350 for the rims and very lowside and 200$ for the gc's and 200$ for shocks even at the lowside that knocks the shell down to under a 1000$ give or take (you can see im trying to justify it ) which is why im asking what other people think My girl just looks at it like here we go again and says look you have a civic sitting under a car cover in the garage and a crx your working on and now you want this. She said it starting to look like a car lot at our house

I was like thats right

Hmm..I think I spy full interior. If so, $1500 seems pretty good to me.

is it just me or the camera, but it looks like it doesn't say INTEGRA on the front bumper cover which would mean after market, and that it might have been in an accident.

Its a okay deal, not bad at all. I bought my 94 4dr GSR with a B20B and GSR tranny and 169,000 on the clock for $1500 here's some pictures. oh and when I got it, it had a fucked up rear bumper and no front end, it was rolling on steelies and a spar, Driver Air Bag Deployed but It had Ground Control Coilover hehe.

If that shell was here in So. Cal I would have picked it up already. If all it needs isa motor and tranny it's a good pick up.

if that's what you want, just buying it and save yourself some time... atleast you have what you want and you're not looking on here saying i wish i had one...

and $1500, i'd pay that since EG hatches are selling for that or more than that in worse shape...

p.s. get rid of the clear signal markers and put the ambers back in it
