Default 94-97 tail lights dismantle

I have an extra pair of 94-97 tail lights. I was wondering how to open up the lenses. I've checked every forum so far, all i could find was someone saying "preheat the oven to 350* and put the tail lights in for 10 mins". Is there any other way to do this? (and no im not spray-painting the turn signal red)

I wonder if you can or will it melt, because I know most never bake tails...

yea, you have to put them in the oven to melt the glue. it is the only way they will come apart. maybe you could try a heat gun or something though. and be VERY careful when trying to separate them, as they break VERY EASILY. you have to pry them apart gently and slowly. do not rush. don't ask me how i know.

obviously don't put the wiring harness or anything in there, and be sure to take off the gasket.

nothing should melt, put the oven to about 250 and keep checking on it every few minutes. you should not have to leave it in there for more than 8-9 minutes. be careful when taking them out, as they will be super hot. you will need oven mitts or something. like i said, be very careful pulling them apart or they will crack. if it is hard to pry apart, put them back in the oven again. do not force it apart.
