We have used these pistons on several different set-ups and they have worked very well for us.

Mahle 124 alloy which is slightly better than the common 4032. Its 8% lighter than 2618, not quite as strong on the rockwell scale as 2618 though. Silicon content is a little higher than your average 2618 alloy which results in less thermal expansion, ultimately tighter piston to wall clearances are easier achieved when compared to a 2618 alloy forging with identical skirt profiles. For a NA aplication i actually prefer the mahle 124 alloy over the 2618 stuff thats out there.

Overall, Supertech's pistons are probably the best deal on the market, next to Mahle's pistons for a street/strip engine. The reason I say that is because a 2618 alloy forging isnt really going to last more than 15K miles before it becomes a "rattle snake." A 4032 or Mahle 124 alloy on the other hand will tend to last longer because there is less expansion going on due to the higher silicon content in the alloy itself. That will result in less bore wear, egging and other common wear issues that occur with 2618 alloy pistons over long periods of time.

Wiseco is still my favorite choice for an all out race engine, their box in box forging they have available for the smaller bore Hoinda stuff has yet to be matched by any other manufacturer in the states. Of course, theres Omega, Accralite and others in the UK that make amazing stuff, but who wants to pay 1000-1400 for a set of pistons?

Note:
Im speaking from a purely NA point of view. If the question was geared towards FI, let me know and Ill re answer your question with FI in mind.
