EK Manual TO AUTO conversion - What parts are needed
I bought my girlfriend a 97 civic DX coupe which is 5-speed. She hates driving it and wants an automatic now. From searching here and even google no one has done this swap. I'm trying to get a feel for what parts I would need and what type of wirings involved. So far i can think of:
-auto tranny
-pedal assembly
-auto ecu
-intermediate shaft
-tranny mount
That list is basically the opposite of what everyone else uses for auto to manual swap, Any input of what has to be wired or other small parts which have to be bought is appreciated, thanks

I dont blame her if you guys live in an area with stop and go traffic. I hated my manual for that.
But go to the auto to manual conversion how-to, do the opposite of what it says. And no that wasnt a smartass remark.

Yah we live in the downtown of a city with a million people, so she hates rush-hour
As for doing the opposite of the auto to manual, it doesn't really say how the wiring is done or the small parts which are discarded but i would have to buy
JDM KID 510 - definately a good option, just wanted to check this out first

Ah, I cant help you with the wiring. I know nothing about wires except hot and ground.
But yea, a lot of ppl like the manuals better, so you could always just look at the classifieds and see if anyone wants to trade for yours. And with the money you save on the swap you could throw it in on a trade and maybe getting something a little nicer.
