we have a 2006 honda odyssey EX-L RES and this morning a kitten got up into the motor and when my mom started the van the cats foot got stuck in the serpentine belt and dislodged the belt..(the cat itself well thats another story)

we cant figure out how to replace that belt that came loose..any suggestions?? How does the automatic tensioner work on these vans?

Motor is the 3.5L V6 VCM Vtec..has only like 2K miles on the thing..

 

you need a long straight 14mm wrench to move the tensioner.

 

The belt came off for a good cause!
