I personally wouldnt reccomend just running a push switch tho, or even just an RPM switch (where at a certain RPM it activates VTEC for you) because they wont add the proper fuel or adjust the ignition timing accordingly like a true VTEC ECU would...

I have done it with a MSD rpm activated switch before. but the computer makes The whole ignition and timing map change in Vtec. so to make the car run like it is supposed to you should get a NEW ECU. you only have to add something like 5 wires to use the right ECU. ( depending on if you are also swaping from DPFI to MFI at teh same time).
iv'e got one of these heads and intake and dist and ecu laying around that im going to do soon for my roomates car. I put 11.5 to one pistons in his Dpfi d15 and an adjustable cam pully already. is a MINI ME worthwile swap?
