Rumors GT42R banned for 2007 and 2008 on SWFD?
I heard some rumors that the 42R will be banned for b series on sfwd for 07 and 08 is it true? I hope not because im planning on running this turbo.

why would they do that, k series is the only engine in the sfwd that is restricted.

Anthony they restricted turbo size to 66mm for K series MID SEASON 2006 and since nothing has changed man.
To the OP as stated above before listening to rumors check out the rules on the NHRA Sport Compact website

GT4202R is not legal for any SFWD. (74mm)
the GT4294R is fine except K. (70mm)
The max mm on b series to run is 72mm.

Maybe its due to the extra 0.2-0.6L advantage in the block, the larger valve size, and the better heads availible? Or maybe they just hate new stuff.

BTW, it looks like there was some confusion about K-Series being banned altogether. Obviously that is a crazy notion, and was misinformation. K-Series is a "swap" just like any B-Series... only limitation on it is displacement is max of 2.4L, and the 66mm turbo sizing.
