Default CTR questions

I'm new!!

I've had this car since high school. Its a stock 93 Civic. I want to build a B16. I just bought CTR camshafts, CTR pistons w/rings, everything from a Civic Type R. Okay, can I boost with the compression the CTR has? Or do I have to build for lower compression. From what I've been reading, they say stock CTR internals is okay for boost with a stock B16 bottom and head? What is the recommended compression rate for 10 - 15 lbs of boost? What do you think?

I'm the newest of new...help is appreciated! Thanks!

Do not boost on CTR compression. If you do you better have it tuned like no other and be running nothing less than C16.

This doesn't make sense...why would you buy CTR parts to turbo a car??? 15psi is waay to high fro those pistons. You should have invested in forged piston instead. Besides, I don't think B16b pistons will work on a B16a

CTR pistons suck no matter what you are using them for. The design of the piston messes up the flame front.

Sell them and save up and get something forged.

sell those pistons, compression is too high to work with, you need at least something in the 9:1-9:5:1 compression. otherwise you will have boost limits

Interesting ****! I appreciate all the feedback. Yah, my sister has a Supra Mark IV and she says her compression has to be ran in the 8's. I take it that CTR internals are best for an NA setup....

I have a turbo setup in mind but have all the equipment for an NA build. What I meant was a bottom end B20 w/the Vtec head, and thinking it was okay to build the B16 for turbo while using the CTR internals so I feel I didn't waste my time investing in an NA setup...mah' bad, noobsta here!
