Whats up everyone me and my homie just did a cam/rocker assembaly swap on my d15b sohc vtec. we found out that if you put vtec-e cam and rockers and set vtec to 4800 it will open as loud as b16/gsr guarentee.. because what the vtec-e cam and rockers do is it makes the motor run on 12 valves untill vtec is engaged then switches to 16 valves... and on stock vtec-e motors its set at like 2400 rpms so i put it on my d15b (basically a z6) it runs on 12 valves untill 4800 then 16 valves and it opens loud and you actually feel it kick in..

if anyone has any questions let me know.. , it dont really make your car any faster but better gas and loud vtec lol

 

wait... it just seems louder because u made it quieter at the beggining, before vtec kicked in? is there any difference in lift in these 2 cams.
u prolly kiled ur powerband with this.

 

maybe you should try and make it run on 4 valves so when mAd VtEcH hits at 4800 rpm it will hit even harder and ull run 10s

no, that was modifying the vtec solenoid spring.


loud vtec....... just have your friend ride shotgun, and at a desired RPM, have him open hand smack you on the face. you'll forget all about vtec for sure.

if you can withstand the pressure of 10 seconds of head punching.... then yes.
