Default Transmission Problem

My car is a 91 CRX with a 1st gen. B16A swap. with about 100k on the engine and tranny.

Yesterday I was coming to a redlight when I put my clutch in to pull the gear out of 3rd when it made a very short grinding noise, but didn't pull out of gear. So now my car is stuck in 3rd gear and will not pull out no matter how hard I pull on it. I don't think it's the clutch because when I put the clutch in, I can hear the engine stop working so I know the gear is disengaging. Does anybody know what could be causing this? The shift linkage is hooked up right and there isn't anything preventing it from coming out. Thanks in advance.

sounds like your shift fork is bent, just a guess. it's not too bad taking your tranny apart.
