Ok...so I thought the problem was solved...NOT! After having the Main Relay repaired yesterday, my girl shut down on me yet again on the Interstate! I got the car back to the mechanic. They replaced the ignition wires. Problem still not solved. The car shut off on me once again after leaving the mechanic a second time, so I had to take it back before I even got halfway home. Once again, the check engine light comes on, then the oil and battery lights. Now, I've noticed that the car is seems to struggle getting to the next gear and if I engage it in a long turn (like exits and entrances to highways) it shuts down shortly thereafter. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? I am stunned and baffled. The ccheck engine light has been on more in the past two weeks, than it has in the whole time I've had this car (1995).

 

Well, in the last thread the instructions for checking the CEL code were given, you chose to ignore that.

Has anyone yet decided to remove the steering column shroud and check the solder joints on the ignition switch?
Perhaps after the MONKEYS that are working on your car have sold you $1000 worth of unneeded parts they might just decide to fix it.

Ignore any advice you read here, do not check the codes, get a loan officer at your bank, and keep taking your car to a moron that wants to bleed your bank account dry.
