Questions about obd0 to obd1
Ok, I am getting a 90 dx hatch with a jdm d15b vtec motor in it. The motor has ran before so all the MPFI wiring was done correctly. The guy ran it for awhile on a CRX Si ECU. He told me the motor is still obd 1 and the inside of the car is still obd0. He has the Distributor wired up and everything. I was just wondering. I planned on getting the obd 0 to obd 1 conversion harness so I can run a p28 ecu so I can use vtec. Now he has venom injectors for a civic/CRX si in the motor currently. Will that still keep the motor obd 1? If so, I could run the conversion harness with a p28 and theoretically be set to go? Thanks for all your responses.

Ok, first off there are a few things that don't add up. An obd1 dizzy will not run on an obd0 ecu. So if the car is currently running, then more than likely it's some sort of hacked up obd0 dizzy to try and fit on the motor. You can get a harness and convert to an obd1 p28, and you can run the venom injectors (assuming they are the low impedance model) only if the resistor box is still wired up. More than likely he just did a quick rewire job to the obd0 harness to get the motor up and running (not much that has to be changed to put a d15b together with that harness), which is fine.

Yeah see that's what I don't know about the dizzy. If I can get a obd1 dizzy, can I just put that on and then get the dizzy conversion harness and run that as if it wasn't a hacked up wire job? This car is confusing me and I don't even own it yet. Also how do you know if it's a OBD0 or OBD1 Dizzy?

Well, you would have to look at the dizzy plugs to make sure if it's obd0 or 1. All obd0 dizzy plugs are round with a clearish/yellowish plastic color, and all obd1's are grey square plugs. If it still has the round style obd0 plugs you can get the harness to swap or wire it up for obd1 by soldering and splicing the wiring together. Easiest is the harness. Obd1 dizzy's are also slightly larger than their predecessors.

Excellent, one more question, the guy says he put in obd0 venom injectors for a Crx Si in them, will that effect anything when i convert everything over to obd1 or do I need to get some new obd1 injectors?
Also anyone know of a site that can show me the wiring. and the steps I need to take for the wiring. I am getting a d16z6 obd 1 dizzy this week. Hopefully I can get this mess figured out so a website would help, I'v searched all over the place.

well ur runnig obd0 injectors, id switch over too obd1 injectors and eliminate the resisotor box obd0 injectors are louder then the obd1 injectors id switch it over itll be alot claner and less of a headache. i had this issue in my old 91 si
i was running obd1 injectrs w/resistor box i had major cranking issues ended up messing up the injectos plus my ga mileage was horrible.
