Right now i am putting a turbo on a ls vtec in my 96 civic i was wondering what size rims and tires will give me the best times on the strip, and what would be practical for the street as well.Right now i have 17 in rims with kumho 245/40/17 and i dont think these are practical.

 

anything smaller than 17's, maybe 14/15 with some pretty beefy tires

 

i searched a little more i think im going to go with 15's but what size slicks ? Also where's a good place to buy slicks at?

I would like to get streetable slicks but how good are they for daily driving? Also what tires would i put on the back, I have already lost races because of traction problems from the kumho ecsta.

I would keep street tires for the street. I hope you're not street racing?

Drag Radials really don't have much tread life .

Why not buy full slicks for the track?

This is a set of 22/8/13 MH. I have 24.5/8/13 now.

I would be estimating around 450whp not sure what transmission i have but its a five speed the motorswap was done before i owned the car.

 

If you need D.O.T. for the track, this will help.

power output is expected to be 450 to 500 whp it is a 5 speed b16 hydro tranny thats all i know
