Hey guys im having a electrical problem with my car. When i jump start it.....it works fine but once you remove the jumper cables the car shuts off and it has a brand new alternator.......

 

Hmmmm an engine should run after it has been started. Since another car is providing electricity, check your spark plug connection or fuel pump. BTW does Radio work? By its own battery without any help?

Spark plug connection as in battery to the coil to the distributor, so and so...

 

So does the brand new alternator have all the wires on the back connected?
And the plug-ins, plugged in?-Bob

 

All the wires are connected to the back of the alternator.....seems as tho the plug is not recieving any signal......is there an alternator relay??

 

brand new Alt? or Aftermarket rebuild POS?

I had a customer bring one of the Reman units to the shop and wanted it installed, I told him okay but I'm not going to warranty labor for it. After 3 times of pulling a bad "new" alt on and off he went to the dealer. He spent as much in labor as it cost for a good Alt.
Then I got hooked into working on an old friends Yota 4 runner that he hadgotten a Reman from the parts store, and went thru 5 of them to get one that worked.
