Default ebay springs?

How're you guys doing? I'm fairly new at tuning so please help me out. I have an 05 em coupe.
I have I just want to lower my car as much as possible for now. I dont want to spend too much money either so what do you guys think about the cheap springs on eBay. I know they're not the greatest but if I just want to lower the car and have a decent ride what do u think? It's just for looks.
And also, how do I go about lowering the car? Any instructions?

ebay = crap

Going really low = expensive

Stock shocks wont last long at anything over 1.5" of lowering, which isnt that much

do a search for springs, we've covered this 1000000 times.

I hate to say it, but buying springs on eBay is probably not the safest idea. You might want to go with something a little more well-known. I've ridden on Ground Control coilovers on Koni shocks, and the ride was quite nice. The overall cost of those, wasn't bad at all.

i bought ground control sleeved coilovers on stock dampeners, and let me say they ride like sht, the back is slammeed and the front pops like crazy, that's why I just went and bought tokico hp blues $525

you know i was just thinking, it isn't that cheap but my girl got a 3" drop w. factory damp. with tein s-techs they are around 300$

tein S-tech's arent 3" drop, they are 1.3"F/1.4"R

I believe the biggest "spring" drop is 2.5" F/ 2.0" Rear, from neuspeed race.

You bought Ground Controls and put them on your stock shocks, and expected the ride to be good? The stock shocks are designed for one ride height in mind... the stock ride height. You most likely blew out your stock shocks, when slamming them on the Ground Controls.

congradulations you can read a advertisement, but sry that isn't always true in the real world,

"Tein S Tech lowering spring provides approximately between 1.3 to 2.5 inch drop for a more aggressive appearance."

http://www.raceinspired.com/p-....aspx

sry I streched it a whole 1/2inch, it's on a 05 tC anyway, not an em2

and no sht you get a shitty ride slammed on blown stock dampeners, I bought sleeved coilovers because you can adjust them up to stock hieght, all I wanted was a .5 drop at most, the kit i got tho has really small springs I bought it used for cheap, and I'm pretty sure it's the wrong kit becuase the rear suspension, fully extended is tucking the stock wheels, so whatever have ur own opinion, mines just buy full springs and shocks in matched packages, every1 told me to stay away from sleeved, but I wanted something I could bring back up to stock hieght in the winter,

I got what 5 posts, and haters already

You must've misread somewhere. Nobody here was hating on you. No need to get your kidneys in a bind, just because of your misfortune.

If you're looking for alternatives to sleeves/coils + shock combos, you can always get fully-built coilovers, like F2 (Function & Form), TEIN, D2, or K-sport's. With a couple exceptions, all have the height adjustability, where you can bring the car back up to stock ride height, with the standard adjustment rings.
