hey

just got my first honda yesterday. its a little 89 civic lx. it seems that the hood latch thing inside the car broke, i have tried pulling on the cable with some pliers but i cant get it open! anyone know if you can manually open it or a way to open the hood???

Go under the bumper? Where did it break at?

 

it broke right at the handle inside the car. ill see if theres a way under the bumper, worth a try

 

try pulling the cable and at the same time have someone push or tap on your hood near the latch to see if you can pop it

 

It also runs through the fender lining. Just reach thru the grill in the bumper and yank it.

 

yank on the plastic tube which the cable runs through?, kinda hard to get my hands in there...
