There's a good pic here:

It's at the bottom (click to enlarge it).

they are just bolts... the nuts are already on the brackets

Header? What header??

Only way you can see it is to lean in to the right of the shield as you're facing the car. You can see a bit of tube hanging out. If you don't know what you're looking for, you will not find it.

Damn, so what's a lower heat shield?

-skafia, hoping that the UPS man isn't running the newly ordered JDM 4-1 on the big brown truck.

By the way... how heavy is the upper heat shield? is it worth having the extra weight for the lower engine bay temp?

UPS weighed my header/heat shield together and it came out to 27.40 lbs, how heavy is a stock ITR exhaust manifold?

heat shield is less than a pound.

The upper is important to keep the underhood temps down.

Upper shield is not heavy enough to even notice. Pound or two, at the most. Underhood temps are dramatically lower.

Damn. Chris beat me to it. Stock ITR manifold is iron, methinks. Weight savings = a lot.

Had mine taken off today, so I just weighed it on the bathroom scale tonight: 29 lbs total, 19 for the upper with heatshields, 10 for the A pipe. It's heavy.

How does the heatshield lower underhood temps? I wouldn't think it would reduce the heat (it doesn't take it anywhere), or does it just contain the heat in a smaller area? My replacement header doesn't have a shield, which didn't bother me at all until I read this thread...
