Our pan was the only one I saw that met those requirements last season.
Ours was Stainless Steel.............that is going to be changed to aluminum.(was strong but heavy)

Mine was only 1" last year, but I'm a rebel like that...
It was 1" lips last year, for SFWD at least. I'm probably just going to mod my current catch pan. It'll be pretty easy to add another inch to the rails.

i didnt know it was a requirement to have 2inch lips as of last year..
removing the old "lips" and installing newer taller chanel should be a no brainer for most.

I belive it was only 1 inch for streetcars.
It may have just been 1inch, I cannot find the old book. I knoe the enges were supposed to be curved inward. I built it with the rulebook sitting beside me. That is the only reason I had the edges curved in on ours was because I read it out of the rulebook.

The diaper will not work... As for 2008, the new requirments is a diaper and a catch pan... I am revising the pans from last season... The cost on the units are 180.00 plus shipping... They ship as 2 pieces... They are from radiator support to the firewall, and come with universal hardware.. Material is made of aluminum

you got any pics of the pan
I think the 2" lip with a snap in diaper at the bottom of the pan would be a better ideal than adding the diaper in 2008. With the exhaust pipe going under the oil pan a diaper is a difficult fit. If NHRA reads this post let us know what you think.

ENGINE CONTAINMENT DEVICE:
Engine diaper or catch-pan device to capture oil and debris in
event of engine failure mandatory. Where exhaust header passes
directly under oil pan, two-piece diaper may be utilized. FWD
vehicles using OEM manual-transmission case must also have
such a device for the transmission, to capture oil and debris in
event of transmission failure. If catch-pan device is used, catch pan
must employ minimum 2-inch-high lips on all sides. Lips must be coved or curved inward, so as to contain oil in pan. Catch pan
must cover entire area below engine/transmission. Catch pan must
extend from radiator support to firewall and from framerail to
framerail. In all cases, lips must be adequate enough to contain oil
in the catch pan. Should a competitor spill excessive oil from the
catch pan and debris onto the track, he or she may be disqualified
from further competition at the sole and absolute discretion of the
event director until catch pan is upgraded, regardless of height of
pan lips or pan design. Both engine diapers and catch pans
mandatory for 2008.
