Looking for a few things
Im trying to restore my 91 crxhf. I'm looking for a piece of moulding that runs across the roof from the windshield to the back window about 2 to 3 inches from where the door closes. Its about 3 and a half ft. long. Anyone know what its called and where I can get one ? I also need 4 13 " rims to fit same car. Anyone ????
Umm , this should be posted in the marketplace threads.
I know what your talking about , it presses into the seams on the roof .
Good luck with it , there usually not able to be removed then re-inserted cause they tend to get phucked up in the removal . I saw a post a few years ago where the guy was prepping for paint and decided to fill these with a mig welder at low heat and wire speed. Also saw a car with black silicone used that looked ok but not as good as the stock pieces.

I know , but gotta give the guy a little slack cause it did turn into a half assed tech thread. I do feel for him cause once you pull those strips out your phucked !
And I would like to see someone with a good way to re-install them.

Those channels up there are for rain, so the rain from the roof runs down those and off on the front and back instead of down in your windows. They are called rain channel moldings and under those also are the seam for the roof to the body and it is a flexing/stress point( and I found that it does flex a pretty good amount, tried bondoing those up on my EG and they would always just crack the bondo). You will probably need to buy new ones from a dealership or another place that sells then and jsut pop those news ones in.

anyone ever tried fashioning some hard rubber strips for it? Basically need something that fits the look, but serves the same purpose, which is to block rain from running into thw windows.
I feel its plausable, just need to have the materials and skills to fashion some sort of rubber strip
forgot to mention: rubber so it can flex. once i get to that part of work on my car, i may just do it, but that is quite far away and a really big "if". some one should try it though
