Default sohc zc in 1990 civic ex sedan

so I got the new motor... its sitting in my garage.... Im wondering what exactly needs to be done to put it in.... the mechanic wants way to much money so I was wondering if anyone in the 805 has done an engine swap.. and would like to help out....

I have the da axles and intermediate shaft.. the zc tranny... what else do I need... shouldnt it just bolt right in and start.... manIm confused

the ex sedan has a d16a6 so the sohc zc should fit in the same way no problem. everything bolts up to. so it shouldnt be hard to do yourself

equal length halfshafts.

I have a sohc zc in my 91 LX. I just had to do the dpfi to mpfi conversion. If you have an EX, it just drops right in.

You can re-use your stock tranny. You don't have to use the ZC tranny.

If you use the stock tranny, the new engine will literally bolt right in. Everything is exactly the same.
