Toda A's worth it?
is it worth getting a Toda A's? so that we can keep the stock ITR springs and retainers?
or
go through all the hassle of maintaining and checking when we get a Toda B's with portflow, etc..
money is not an issue since its only small difference. Plus, this is daily driven and weekend street racing car.
Whats do you think?

A's are good cams and great because they play nicely with the stock R stuff. Plus, they will make a lot of power. B's require many upgrades for safely revving, getting max power, etc.
Toda A's? Yes, very much worth it.
Stock springs are fine. They make peak power around 7800 anyway.
What kinda numbers have you seen with the A's? (HP/TQ)

what kinda power are you looking at when its tuned with stock internals...just intake, headers, exhaust?

with A's, B's, or C's, you're looking at roughly the same PEAK numbers - mid to high 180's to low 190's... depending on mods and tuning. This is stock compression. The difference is that B's and C's will make more peak with more compression, and more midrange than A's in any configuration.....

so, with stock compression, and I/H/E, Toda A is good enough for 180-190whp?
peak yes. a A-equipped R may have the same peak numbers as a B/C motor, but in a race the B/C car will walk all over the A car due to the area under the curve....

If this is what you use the car for, forget N/A. Save up and get a turbo. Boost 0wnz on the street... and on the track.

heheif we wanted a turbo car, he would have bought a LS or GSR...not ITR

Go with Toda A's if reliability is a big concern to you.

Just stay away from those turbo ITRs, lest they smack you around.

Tuning is the key to reliability, whether it's N/A, S/C or turbo. I really don't care which route you choose, since you seem to have your mind set on N/A.

i dont think a stock turbo itr can handle the beating im doing with my NA, thats why im staying with NA
anyone have a dyno plot of Toda As vs Bs vs. Jun3s?

is it worth getting a Toda A's?
Oh yeah, I forgot to reply to the original question:
IMHO: YES, whether it be A's, B's, or C's...
I've been very happy with B's and now C's.
I't depends what you want from your car. Toda A's would be a non agressive setup. If all you want is to go fast from point A to point B (1/4 mile racing) them get a Turbo. No cam setup can come close to a Turbo setup. Now if you want reliability then Tada A's are a nice addition. No funky Idle, you don't need to mod internals (spring, etc..) and you can make some great power if tuned correctly.
proper tuning plays one of the biggest factors...but if you're going n/a and planning to get crazy, go with the spec b. if you just want to keep your stock stuff, go with spec a. turbo is only an option if you have the patience to learn it and know how to maintain it...driving turbo is totally different than n/a too. g'luck man...
