Default yay! first honda

hey

just to introduce and get myself familiar with this forum thing, i bought my first honda today. i got a 1989 honda civic lx. i want to swap a b16 in it or something down the road. i was even thinking about doing a cheap turbo setup on the stock d15, might only gain around 40 hp, but hey... why not. what else do you guys think i could do for relatively cheap, maybe suspension upgrades????

my best advice would be to start saving money, and become familer with the search button.a cheap and good swap woould be a dohc zc.since u wont have to buy mounts or shift linkge.like i said search on here and see what others are doing and it will give u a ideal on what/how to do anything for your car.

Welcome to HT we have alot of knowledge to share.

My suggestion would be maintaince. Bushings, Brakes, etc...
Get the car back to good condition, then think about your mod's.

And don't forget to use the search button. Alot of topics that have been covered can be found there.

We also like pictures of new rides too.

Welcome...suspension first...always...dont turbo a d15...40hp gain is like meh...go DOHC ZC, like stated above or d16a1...very close to it...then turbo that...but if you want to be cream of the crop...after making sure and maintaining all other aspects of the car...b16 turbo... have fun and again welcome

yea If you dont want to drop a **** load of money on that car but still want upgrades... I would go dohc zc.. then piece together a turbo kit.... that will be a more than a 40hp gain...just do it right...
