need cam gears for turbo install?
depends on the cams too. the cams i purchased, i was instructed to install straight up. 6 hours of messing with them netted like 5 whp. only reason i am goin adj gears is the t1 trigger.
Really depends on the application. You should be able to get more power on a B series with CAM Gears, but its not a must have for boosted cars.
platinum.
platinum.
Cam gears will help out on HP and TQ depending on the cams and head setup such as port flow etc, plus it also helps out on vtec motor boosting and there cross over point from exhaust over lay which on high HP cars causes it to detonate/pop going into vtec. There not a must but a plus specially when boosting allowing air to flow better depending on how u adjust. They should be tune on a dyno to see results don't adjust them guessing on the street.

what about for stock head stock cams?
yes u can gain hp and tq on stock setup. just was try to explain in other words that they are a plus to any application for getting the most hp and tq out of a motor. but not a must to have bolt on for ur turbo setup, but a plus if ur fully getting it tune..

If you are using GSR or ITR cams, install cam gears and tune to reduce overlap.
Advance intake cam
Retard exhause cam
(or visa versa - I forget)
usually 2* max each.
You should gain ~5% across the entire powerband.
