Default web cams valve clearance?

My buddy just gave me a set of new web cams. The catch is, that he has no paperwork of any kind. they are stamped "web cam" on the end that is about it. I am wondering what the valve clearance should be. Anyone know exactly? O yeah..... its for a b18c1 motor thanks

Well, when I called them up, they said no tighter than .008" on both sides. It's always been a little noisy, but I'm sticking with their recommendations.

I would do 0.006/0.008.

Web uses a a smaller base circle and this is one of the reasons I say 6/8 as opposed to 7/9 as my usual recommendation on perf. cams.

You may need to play with the lash to see what you and the motor like.

Depends if you have a new or used feeler guage. Snap-On or KD. The diff. between .006 and .007 is less than 1/4 of a RCH. What is the actual clearance with the rocker arm ratio?

Don, are you asking what the actual clearance at the cam is using 7/9 at the valve--isn't a d16a6 rocker around 1.5? So 7 divided by 1.5 and 9 divided by 1.5=0.0047 and 0.006" respectively unless I misunderstood what you are asking.

Too a certain extent lash is dependant on the size of the base circle.

Bigger base circle increase the lash and vice versa.
