Stereo seek and swap questions
I own a 97 honda accord LX.
I bought an ipod transmitter, but am unable to find an empty channel to recieve on because the radio is in seek mode. I was wondering if there was a way to turn this off as I bought the car from my father, and he seems to have misplaced the manual for the radio.
Also, if I swap the stereo out, is there some sort of security code that I need to in order to reswap it later if I decide to sell the car later, and keep my deck? In other words, is there a way to get the code from a working deck, or do I have to contact the manufacturer? I am not sure if I want to swap out the deck if it is going to cost me money down the line.
Thank you for your troubles

in order to get the code - stop by your local Honda dealership, show them your title/registration/drivers license. They should be able to provide you with the security code for the radio. Technically this should not cost you any $$$. Good luck and keep us posted how it goes.
Thanks for the info. Good to know. Also, is there a way to take the radio out of seek mode?
@hondadude,
Sorry about that. Was there any other info that was needed?

The dealer will need the 'REF' number from the radio to give you the code.
On that car you can remove the ashtray and it's holder [3 phillips screws] then use a pocket mirror and a flashlight to see the sticker on the radio unit.
