go with the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's
they go for about $120 at Goodwin-Racing
they are very light and much cheaper then panasports, etc.
great build quality too

That I can answer: 225/50 will get 'er done for road racing. For NASA HC, Toyo is the spec tire and a good value. If you are s***ing $$$, Hoosier is a bit faster - and shorter useful life - if rules permit. IMHO, of course....

What would you need 14x7's on the street for?
These wheels were only made to appease a group of racers limited by certain rule restrictions.

I heard the legend brakes fit under the team dynamics 14x7" which is why i asked.
with 195/45/15's being available in street tires, it's almost pointless to go to 14 or 13" rims for the street. hmmm

well they aren't the best. but 225/40/14 Toyo T1-R
i ran um for a few months. very fast in the rain. but dry you can't compare them to azenis
and for track the Nitto NT01 comes in a 205/55/14

A) Why would you run Legend brakes, unless you're talking about the single-piston 17CL15VN clappers that came on lower trim Legends, Accord wagons, and ITRs? Those things weigh a metric assload and are way overkill for any Civic under 2600lbs.
B) 195/45-15 can't hold any heat, and I don't think many (any?) decent tires are available in that size. If your car is so fast that you thought you'd need Legend brakes, then buying 195/45-15 would be an expensive lesson (time and money wise) in futility.
I swear Andrew, why can't you just succumb to normal thought processes sometimes?
Thinking up your own unique way to do things vs. going with the already accepted and proven methods is sometimes fun and can occasionally turn up a previously unknown advantage, but in most cases, people are already doing things a certain way for a reason - because it is the best way that is proven to work.
I think that once you actually get these monstrosities you're creating to run and start competing with them, you're going to find that you've spent WAY too much time stressing over gearing which makes very little difference compared to other aspects of the car. Stop thinking like an engineer and start thinking like a racer if you want to win!
You have to drive a car, not a theory.

I'm a builder not a racer
I keep thinking of all these crazy ideas, even though I know it won't work, I just want it all. I want a car that gets 35mpg on the highway, is ultra quiet and can run a 13.0@110ish.
You do bring up an excellent point about those legend 2piston calipers which I've been thinking off for a while. Teg brakes with good pads or itr calipers/redrilled rotors. Tough decision.
I think I just need to talk to rodney about his fenders so I can just put on some 205/70/15s when I want to travel. The reasoning behind the 195/45/15s in street tires means that I could use a dx final of 4.058 with those tires to have fun gearing. And then step up or down in tire diameter for track/highway. Just an idea.

My hybrid does all that - but runs 18s. close right?
Sorry to bump a old thread -
but weight on the 14x7 team dynamics wheels?
Thanks!

PSHT.....14x7's those aren't going to help you. I heard the driver needs some serious work.
And from what I understand cars that are yellow look fast yet are super slow when driven.

Yep, the driver needs some serious work. So....Maybe the daily workouts at the gym will help. Maybe the professional coaching will help. Maybe the daily visualization will work. Maybe the eating of 2 pounds of nails a day (sometimes chewed, sometimes not...). Maybe the excellent prep will help ( hey Mike, go slap this Toad willya?) I rekin we'll just have to see. The question is, do you want to be on the crew of the 2007 NASA championship H4 car or don't you? Well do yo suckah...?

By the way my Doc Hudson car sez "I still got it!" So there!

im willing to bet money that its a no on both weight and strength.
